Dot SE Domains

The dot SE country-specific top-level extension was created in 1986 and given to Sweden. During the first years after its launch, the registration process was really restrictive, so a very low number of domain names were secured. Persons were permitted to register no more than one domain under .PP.SE (“pp” stands for “private person”). Local presence was a must, i.e. only Swedish individuals, businesses and organizations could register a .SE domain. In 2003, however, the registration process was loosened considerably and, accordingly, the number of .SE domains has been rising each year.

Today, anyone can order a dot SE domain, which gives you the opportunity to contact the Swedish web community even if you do not have a local presence. We are amongst the providers that offer such domains, considering the fact that they cannot be bought directly from the Registry organization. We can also help you with the registration process because the Registry requires specific documents such as an ID for persons or a registration certificate for business entities. This is a one-time process, which will not be required for further renewals, and we can save you all the efforts by working with the Registry to get your dot SE domain name operational in no time.

The .SE country-specific top-level domain extension is also among the domain extensions that can be used for the so-called “domain hacks”, i.e. using a domain with a certain TLD to represent a word. Several illustrations would be “ofcour.se”, “endor.se”, etc., so you will have the opportunity to secure a creative and easy-to-remember domain name. Such a name will also be simple to share, which can boost the popularity of your site.

Dot SE Domain Management with TERIONET

The Domain Manager user interface is an essential part of the Web Hosting Control Panel. As such, it's built to be quick and user-friendly and uncomplicated for both webmasters and hosting beginners. It provides the full set of domain settings, meaning you will get total control over your domain name's WHOIS and DNS settings. Furthermore, it allows you to manage multiple domains from the exact same location easily - you are not limited to just a single domain name per Control Panel.

And, when you have a hosting account here, you are able to perform both web site management and domain name administration tasks. You don't have to sign in to other Control Panels or change interfaces.
